Learn to Crochet in a Day with Sarah Korth
Class Date: Saturday, June 27, 2026
Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Cost: $50 per student, maximum 6 students (if class fills up, a waiting list will be created)
Description: Filet crochet is a fun technique that’s great for summer and it’s perfect for beginners! If you can chain, single crochet and double crochet, you’re ready to learn. This class will help you master the approach so you’re ready to tackle any filet crochet pattern.
Choose Your Pattern: Nyla Headband or Nyla Bookmark by Sarah Korth can be purchased and downloaded from Ravelry.
Tools and Supplies:
All tools and supplies are available at Fiber Fever for an additional cost. They are not provided in the class fee.
Headband
- Yarn – any worsted weight yarn, 60 yds. Lighter colored yarns with a smooth twist are recommended if you still find reading your stitches to be a challenge. Solid colors show the stitch pattern more.
- Hook – US G (4.0mm)
- Notions – locking stitch marker or 2, tapestry needle, flexible tape measure and scissors
Bookmark
- Yarn – any fingering weight yarn or #3 crochet thread, 15 yds. Lighter colored yarns with a smooth twist are recommended if you still find reading your stitches to be a challenge. Solid colors show the stitch pattern more.
- Hook – US B (2.25mm)
- Notions – locking stitch marker or 2, tapestry needle, flexible tape measure and scissors
What you need to know: You need to be comfortable with chaining, single crochet, and double crochet stitches. Be able to work it confidently and read your stitches.
What you’ll learn: You’ll learn how to read a filet crochet chart, how to line up your stitches, and how to weave in your ends.
Cancellation Policy: 7 days prior to class date. Cancellations received after June 20, 2026 will not be eligible for a refund unless we able to find another learner to take your place.
